or a cork dork. you choose.
anyway, if you are too you might find this interesting. You will also find it interesting if you're an environmentalist. and by interesting i mean frustrating.
I love kitchen gadgets. We're registered at macy's and williams sonoma for wonderful beautiful kitchen things and target for less than beautiful kitchen things, but here is where i draw the line.
because really, you're making the dough, you're taking the time to make your OWN ravioli, MAKE THE FUCKING RAVIOLI. you already have the kitchenaid to mix the dough (i'm not knocking kitchenaids. I love mine, and if the house goes up in flames, it's one of the treasures i'm dragging out with me) you already have to make the filling. laying out a sheet of pasta and plopping some filling onto it and then putting another sheet of pasta on top? Seriously, it's not that hard. It certainly isn't $140 hard.
needless to say, the kitchenaid ravioli maker express-a-mundo will not be found on our gift registry.
So i'm a mean mom. Our kittens got their 2nd round of boosters and their rabies vac yesterday, which also means they get tags saying they have their rabies vac. we figured this would be a good time to re-introduce the kittens to their collars. We promptly put their collars (complete with tags) on them yesterday. by 8pm both collars were no where to be found. Sneaky bastards.
about 30 minutes ago i heard what could only be a kitten playing with a collar as there was the obvious sign of movement followed closely by the jingle of metal clanking against the floor. A perfect opportunity to put this collar on the kitten. IN this particular incident we're talking about sam. Sam has a lot of energy, little coordination and is quite hyper and skiddish (he is afterall, a kitten). 5 minutes after re-applying the collar to sams neck, sam is doing somersaults 16 inches in the air, trying to get away from, or catch (they both seem to have the same reaction) his evil spirited collar, which is a) either trying to attack him or is b) a yummy bug for him to eat.
it was one of the funniest things i've ever seen. Right now, sam is hiding underneath a rug, which apparently has calmed down his ill-tempered collar.
okay, so i've typed up the menus, and all they need are a little editing and to be printed. i'm sending out the 2nd round of invites (I ran out the first time, and a few people's were lost in the mail (GRR!). I'm picking up courtney's pregnancy panel at the wedding shop soon, and have my finalization meeting with the florist. I had a horrible wedding nightmare last night, which was probably just motivation for me to get things done. I tried buying my rehearsal dinner dress on jcrew.com and it DISAPPEARED! Argh! some other size 10 decided she was going to buy it, so poof, it just disappeared right out of my shopping cart. BLAST!
Okay, so here is my "professional plug"

This is one of my favorite websites! I was totally going to submit the info about Jeremy and Rebeccca anyway.
I'm thrilled!
I forgot to mention that i sent out the invites. This was a very exciting and important thing mostly because they are no longer weighing on my mind. Now, off to do the 2000 other things I have left. Sweet
